How M Series Totalizer Flow Meter Works
At the core of the MX Oval Gear Flow Meters are two meticulously engineered oval-shaped gears, or Rotors, that make these meters exceptionally accurate and reliable for clean fluid measurement. Designed for precision, these high-precision splined Rotors rotate in tandem, meshing together seamlessly as fluid flows through the meter.
The Precision of Oval Gear Technology
As fluid enters the flow meter, the movement of the liquid drives the Rotors. Each rotation of the Rotors displaces a defined, exact volume of fluid, ensuring a highly accurate measurement. As the flow rate increases, so does the rotational speed of the Rotors, maintaining the accuracy and reliability of the volume measured. This positive displacement mechanism guarantees precise volumetric flow measurement, unaffected by changes in viscosity, pressure, or temperature.
Pulse Detection for Exact Volume Tracking
Every “active” rotation of the Rotors generates a pulse, which is detected by a highly responsive sensor. This pulse signal correlates directly to the volume of fluid that has passed through the meter, offering a precise, real-time measure of flow. The entire system is designed for optimal accuracy and repeatability, making it suitable for various industrial processes.
Each M Series Flow Meter undergoes individual calibration according to ISO 17025 standards, ensuring ±1% accuracy and ±0.03% repeatability in performance. This commitment to precise calibration means that every meter you receive is finely tuned to deliver consistent, reliable results, regardless of the fluid’s characteristics.
